Lots to blog about, so i'll do them slowly

I've been thinking a lot lately, about my life and how I am protraying myself to the people around me. I am also thinking of how i am to move on towards the future. Its really refreshing and amazingly productive, and i would just like to share them with all of you.

Being happy, that is, truly

I have always wanted a lot of material stuff in life. Maybe you won't believe it, but i have the tendency to get what I want the moment I see it. Just to share, i have a low resistance to stuff i don't really need. Its kind of "high" when you see sth you want and get it, but then its like some vicious cycle that happens when you go to the next shop.

But this is not to say i am totally against material stuff. I believe the key to this is balance. I am still a huge fan of music and good clothing..esp now i am totally in love with flesh imp! But anyway its the point of focus that determines our direction in life.

I just spent an afternoon with Cechao today. We din spend much, but i can say with absolute certainty that I truly enjoyed myself today. We initially wanted to watch a movie in the cinema, but chose to go the library instead. We wanted to do sth different and it was certainly worthwhile. We discovered much and even shared a pack of famous AMOS! Whats more amazing was that we bought 100g only but we were FULL. It kinda reminded me of the 5loaves +2fish story. I believe this wouldn't have happened if we din make the effort to try sth new TOGETHER to build up our friendship and faith. We are more than CG members. We are friends.

Ray...who i want to become

I've been thinking a lot of my lameness lately. Am i making a postive influence in the people ard me? Maybe i brought fun and joy, but i think i din make much of an impact to strengthen pple's faith and build up wisdom. I think its time to change.

The word Ray really means a lot to me. Rays of light come from the Sun, the source of energy for all living things. The light rays carries with it the warmth and heat energy for living things to grow and mature. Plants receive it and become food for animals, and so on and so forth.

The bible says that we are the light and salt of the Earth. Being a new creation in Christ, I believe that God is constantly doing a work in me. I seek to make a positive difference to the pple around me through the power GIVEN to me by the redeeming grace of God. All the things i know and have experienced are tools i can use to minister to others. Just like my spiritual mentors, i also want to encouarge and build up pple ard me. This is a cause i am fighting for, against laziness and temptations, to see pple's frown fade and smiles appear.

Ray Thong Zhi Tai. How is it? Sounds nice for baptism name?

Moving forward

things to build up

1) cultivate an apetite for reading. I need to enlarge my perspective in realms of finances to cooking, designing to counselling

2) start real small. start by my passions first. Now learning Japanese. making an effort to finish that book i bought today.....a form of prep for my GEP sub i will be taking in NTU

3) vocal training. Still need to get my pitching right. Constantly reminded by coach.

4) bible+prayer. laziness

5) quality quiet time. still learning

6) concentration time. pple who seen me after 1130pm know my "hibernation mode". Need to push myself. dun noe how, but must do it

7) being a true friend to all the CG members.

.....is tis guy brainwashed? So not like him! Chi quo yao? haha...ya.....but lets grow in Christ together. Ya?
