Monday is Zavier's bday

I just realised that Zavier's bday is on coming Monday. I have to admit that i was feeling quite low about myself that i did not bother to find out all the CG pple's bday dates. But i have to say the end result was great! You know why?

After i heard from his mum that mon is his bday, I went to buy the Nick's testimony dvd and gave it to Zavier. Then, together with his mum, we encouraged Zavier to queue up to get a hug and photo from Nick. It challenged his capacity as there was a lot of people and it was beyond his comfort zone. Nevertheless, we did it together and his mum even bought nuggets for him and me as well! Praise the Lord! Nick had special words for Zavier and i feel it made a tremendous positive impact in him. I don't think he regret doing it in the end.

I went with Zavier, Alex and their mummies after that to tampines century square to have dinner. Shared a dao1 xiao1 mian4 with zavier. After that went to arcade to play X-men vs Streetfighter with them. Guess what? It was a common ground between Alex, Zavier and me! They were quite amazed that i can play the game well and i felt it was money well spent.(though i only spent 50 cents while both of them spent 4.50 in total) So i can officially say i am their mentor in this area, haha.

Anyway, i think i realise sth about bdays through this day. The elaboration of the bdays is really secondary. Whats really important is that we make the effort to show love to the person and touch the person's heart. Today was really a simple one, with no cakes or card, but i can safely say that he really appreciated it tonight. Maybe its all about whether your intentions are genuine.

I thank God. That i have people who love me is a blessing. To have people around me i can show love to is a blessing. I still have much to learn but the journey has just got more fun after tonight!
